Why BulldustNBack?

John Lennon said it best in his song “Imagine” but the Rotary Club of Mill Point (RCMP) is “imagining” the changes which could be made possible through your participation in the 6th BulldustNBack. Whilst our vision is to be a respected, dynamic, proactive club making a difference in the community both locally and internationally, we can also imagine what the BNB contributions could mean for our beneficiaries. Each year, members of RCMP host events to raise funds for deserving causes - this is only one of them.

2024 will see our sixth BulldustNBack Trial raising $FUNds for kids with cancer and mental health in WA. Just IMAGINE what your donations could do!

WHO will be the 2024 lucky recipients of your BNB efforts? IMAGINE their delight when they receive those FUNds for their cause!

2023 saw us raising FUNds for

  • Kids Cancer Support Group

  • Kids Cancer Project

  • Australian Rotary Health

  • 12 Buckets

  • Global Hands

  • RFDS

In 2022 BNB raised over $140,000 for many charities specifically for kids suffering from cancer and youth mental health, and other organisations which assist in these causes albeit in a round-about way. With the prevalence of cancer and mental health issues in our youngsters, it is so important that these issues are brought into the open and as much help as possible raised through communication, education, preventive measures and of course talking about it!

This is where the BNB excels, our followers and participants all have some life experiences in these matters and so no topic is taboo!

In 2021 the BulldustNBack Trail raised over $90,000 - a vast increase on previous years funds, just showing how popular this event is becoming.

2020 saw an amazing number of vehicles enter as most other similar events were cancelled due to Covid-19, but we soldiered on and were extremely lucky to have chosen the right time, the right places and the event was ON!

2019 was the first year of the BulldustNBack Trial, where funds were raised for both Kids Cancer and Mental Health in WA. Participants wore their ‘L plates’ for Jon Lawrance, in whose memory the BulldustNBack is held. Jon was a longstanding Rotarian, businessman and respected community member in South Perth. He passed away in 2018 from cancer.

Our two causes were chosen in his honour, continuing his passion to improve the lives of people with mental illness and children with cancer. Jon was diagnosed with depression at 18 and despite experiencing his own traumas through cancer, he was more saddened by the children he met in the chemo ward, above his own illness.

Our past beneficiaries

Our focus is on kids cancer and mental health in WA so we are always eager to find organisations who will benefit from the proceeds of the BNB.

BulldustNBack is organised and managed by the Rotary Club of Mill Point. Donations are held by Rotary Ramble Pty Ltd as Trustee for the Rotary Charity Trust, ABN: 63 331 013 685. Beneficiaries of funds from the Rotary Charity Trust must be eligible and approved by the Trustees. To be eligible, a beneficiary must be a Designated Gift Recipient (DGR). This means they must be registered by the Australian Tax Office so the donor may claim tax deductability for gifts above $2.

In 2021 everyone had the opportunity to donate to a vehicle of their choice, registered in the BulldustNBack Trial raising funds representing one of the following charities:

Kids Cancer Support Group;

kids cancer project;

neuroblastoma;

bridging communities;

12 buckets;

global hands

OR they could contribute funds to the Rotary Charity Trust Fund and leave its Trustees to distribute the funds to other Kids Cancer and Mental Health projects.
